About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 5 problems naming which slide, flip or turn takes one figure to another.
Another worksheet on this site asks the same question and stops at the coarse answer - its three choices are sliding, rotating and reflecting, so saying it turned scores whether it went a quarter turn or a half turn, and clockwise or the other way. Naming which flip and which turn is the harder half, and the one a student needs before they can predict anything. A slide is among the choices because it is the only one of the three that leaves the figure facing the same way; without it a student learns that something always changes orientation. No mirror line or centre of turn is drawn, since either would announce the answer. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
