About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 8 word problems with decimal measurements where students choose which amount is closest to the answer.
This worksheet gives a word problem with two decimal measurements - liters, meters, kilograms or kilometers rather than dollars - and asks which of four amounts is closest to the answer. The decimals run to the thousandths place while the choices are whole units set at least two apart, so the question is settled by judging the size of the answer instead of lining up decimal points. One wrong answer on each problem is the result of the opposite operation. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
