Adding Coin Amounts (Word Problems) Worksheet Download
This worksheet gives each amount as a number of named coins - "3 nickels" or "1 dime" - rather than as a price, so the student has to know what each coin is worth before adding. Two people each buy something and the question asks for the total spent in cents. Totals stay under a dollar and all four coins appear, so students practise pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters together rather than one at a time.
