About this worksheet

Each worksheet has 8 problems writing an inequality from a situation and deciding whether a value satisfies it.

One worksheet on this site writes an inequality from a word problem and stops there; another tests a value against an inequality already written out. The standard puts the two in one breath, and the join is where the meaning lives - a student who writes h is at least 48 and then says a 46 inch child may ride has written symbols they do not believe. One problem in three tests the boundary value itself, which is the only case that can tell at least from more than. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
