Each worksheet has 12 problems breaking a decimal or mixed number into two parts to multiply it.
Every distributive property worksheet on this site breaks apart a whole number - arbitrarily on one sheet, by place value on another. None of them has a decimal or a fraction in it. But breaking apart four and a half is the split a student actually needs at this grade: six times four and a half is 24 plus 3 and can be done in the head, while the same product through improper fractions cannot. On the fraction problems the multiplier is always a multiple of the denominator, so the second partial product comes out whole and the easy route stays easier than the one it replaces. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
