This worksheet gives four equations built from the same pair of numbers and asks which one is true. Two of them put the larger number on the wrong side of the equals sign and two use the wrong multiplier, so every wrong choice is a real place value error rather than filler. Students have to think about how many places the digits shift rather than just multiplying out.
