About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 7 objects placed away from the zero mark to measure to the nearest centimeter.
This worksheet places each object away from the zero mark of the ruler and asks for its length in whole centimeters. Every other measuring sheet lays the left end of the object on zero, which lets a child read the answer straight off the right-hand end without measuring anything, because the length and the end point are then the same number. Starting an object at three and ending it at eleven means subtracting, which is the difference between reading a ruler and using one - and the answer is still the length, so the mistake the sheet is built to catch is always visible on the page. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
