About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 10 word problems finding how much was paid from an item cost and the change received.
This worksheet gives children the cost of an item and the change received and asks how much was handed to the cashier. It is the third form of the same situation - the usual sheets give cost and payment and ask for change, and this one asks for the payment itself, which is addition where the familiar version is subtraction. Each item carries its own price range so the amounts stay believable. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
