Each worksheet has 16 equations to judge true or false for a given value of the variable.
This worksheet gives a value for the variable and an equation, and asks whether the equation is true. The two sheets already on this standard both come from grade six and hand the student a job to do - one substitutes in order to solve, the other finds the value that balances an equation. This asks something smaller and different: here is a value, here is a statement, is it true? A false equation is never wildly wrong; half of them miss by a few and half are the answer to the wrong operation, since a statement that is off by two hundred can be spotted without evaluating anything. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
