About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 4 solid figures where students choose the net that folds to make it.
This worksheet shows a solid figure and four nets, and asks which one folds to make it. It runs the opposite way to the existing net sheet, which shows a net and offers the figure names as choices - here the choices are drawn nets, so a student has to picture the folding rather than recall which name goes with which picture. One wrong answer is always an arrangement with exactly the right faces that will not close, such as six squares in a two by three block, because counting the faces is not enough and a sheet whose wrong answers only had the wrong number of faces could be answered by counting. The other two are a net one face short and a correct net of a different solid. Sheets can be customized or printed for practice.

- Match faces to a three-dimensional figure.
Everyday practice
